This does not size the stake by edge — for that, see the Kelly criterion calculator. This just converts a flat percentage into dollars.

How it works
A percentage-of-bankroll plan keeps every stake proportional: as the bankroll grows the dollar stake grows with it, and as it shrinks the stake shrinks too, which slows losing streaks down automatically instead of betting a fixed amount into a smaller and smaller pool.
The right percentage depends on how many selections you're confident in and how much variance you can tolerate — most disciplined staking plans sit between 1% and 5% per bet, reserving anything higher for a rare, well-researched edge.
Worked example
A $5,000 bankroll, staked at 2% per bet.
| 0.5% | $25.00 |
| 1% | $50.00 |
| 2% | $100.00 |
| 3% | $150.00 |
| 5% | $250.00 |
